In San Diego’s El Monte Valley, EHL has initiated an innovative effort to restore hundreds of acres partially graded for two golf courses to native habitat.

On the heels of a huge public hearing at which EHL testified, the California Parks and Recreation Commission strongly opposed extending the Foothill tollroad through San Onofre State Beach.

EHL has urged land use planning alternatives to a new highway through the Cleveland National Forest between Orange and Riverside Counties.

EHL is participating in an advisory group convened by the Schwarzenegger Administration on planning issues. The stakes and the potential are enormous.
